Pacquiao to fight a dead body next

    from boxing24
It appears that Manny Pacquiao is planning on returning to the ring in another five months to fight against a still to be determined opponent on October 17th. While there’s been a ton of stuff from Freddie Roach about Pacquiao fighting Miguel Cotto or Shane Mosley at a catch weight, I don’t see it happening.

I’m thinking Pacquiao may not fight at anyone less than the winner of the Juan Manuel Marquez vs. Floyd Mayweather Jr. bout which takes place on July 18th. Even then, I have my doubts that Pacquiao will decide face Marquez if he comes out the winner because Pacquiao has struggled so badly against him in the past, and probably wouldn’t want to get burnt by facing him a third time.

Already, Pacquiao has received a draw and a very questionable 12-round split decision that boxing greats Bernard Hopkins and Oscar De La Hoya, as myself, feel should have been a win for Marquez. I guess you could say that Marquez is like kryptonite for Pacquiao, a type of fighter that Pacquiao will always struggle against due to Marquez’s superior boxing skills.

Okay, so if Pacquiao does decide fight someone else besides the Marquez-Mayweather fight, which as I doubt he will, Pacquiao will be looking for a fighter with mediocre talent and Swiss cheese defense so that Paquiao can have a better chance at winning.

Oh, yeah, the catch weight will be there as well for whoever the lucky victim will be, because Pacquiao won’t be fighting anyone his own size because there’s no one interesting that the boxing public really care about seeing Pacquiao fight at lightweight or light welterweight.

Maybe to a certain extent boxing fans would like to see Pacquiao fight Amir Khan, but it would still be a fight of limited interest in the U.S. and Mexico because we have no real idea who Khan is other than we know he got blasted out in one round by Breidis Prescott last year.

So Khan’s out, and I suppose lightweight Edwin Valero should be too, because he’s only been seen like once in the U.S. and that was against a 40-year-old opponent. It would be a great fight, don’t get me wrong, but only if Valero has previously fought someone with a pulse in his career before now.

He hasn’t, though, and has built up one of the most least impressive 25-0, 25 KO’s records that I’ve seen in my whole life. If I wasn’t a boxing fan and they showed me his record I would still be su****ious after seeing him fight for one minute of the first round because he looks slow, clumsy and untalented.

When I see Valero, I think ‘what is this guy doing with this kind of record’ because he looks horrible. So if Pacquiao is smart, he won’t fight Valero. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. might be an interesting fight. Actually, the more I think about this fight the more I like it.

Pacquiao can fight an even bigger fighter like Chavez, who fights at light middleweight, and can force poor Chavez to boil down to 142, and make him look like a skeleton to make the weight. The Pacquiao can go out and destroy him and all Pacquiao’s fans can go nutty about another win over a weight drained fighter.

I don`t get it. Why would Pac fight a zombie? Zombies don`t box, they only walk and bite, do they? And a ring won`t fit a morgue or cemetery where dead bodies are.
