Due to the Punch Out ad he just did and these well thought out fight breakdowns, I am now a fan of the magic man. He just tells it like it is. He isnt my style of fighter to watch, but I like Paulie.

I see where Paulie is getting at. Floyd over his last few fights has become more defensive minded and less offensive minded. He cannot fight that way against Manny as Manny will keep putting him in defensive mode with a swarm of fast punches and then dart out or roll off to the side.

Floyd will have to fight him like he did Judah. Floyd will actually have to fight going forward to keep Manny from swarming him by darting in and out himself. He has the ability too do it, well he used to anyway. We will have to see what his legs are like in his next fight. He may still be at 100%, but if he has lost any reflexes or speed due to age, all his natural skills may not be enough for Manny.

The good thing is he has Roger in that corner and Roger turns fights around.I remember the first few rounds of the Oscar Floyd fight when Floyd was fighting off the ropes.Oscar wasnt landing many shots but Roger told Floyd to stay off the ropes. He said 'you making Oscar seem like he is landing to the judges, keep off the ropes ',had Floyd been fighting off the ropes throughout he would have lost that fight.

Manny -Floyd is interesting,if Manny keeps his hands low the way he normally does then he wont even know what hit him.

Malignaggi is right, he makes some really good points about why Pacquiao would be a tough fight. Mayweather said Augustus was his toughest fight (I personally think it was the first Castillo fight), Augustus gave him problems because of his in and out, herky jerky movements which were very hard to time, Pacquiao with his in and out movement, southpaw stance and speed could give Mayweather a lot of problems indeed.

Great analysis like you guys said it definitely was a good read although he left out on two points and only touched on one briefly. I guess he forgot that mayweather is bigger and faster than pacquaio and he forgot that timing kills speed. Pacquaio was in no way faster than marquez in there rematch as freddy roach kept screaming from the corner. Marquez landed first the whole second half of the fight. Although i still agree that pacman could cause mayweather some fits early on until mayweather figures him out, pacman wont be able to make those same adjustment and that will be the difference. I challenge someone to show me a pacman fight were he appeared to be faster than, the like of zab judah, shane mosley, money mayweather and not talking about his fights with the last two dead men walking somebody show me proof

oh yeah when was the last time mayweather let somebody get in and out on him wasnt that against zab judah, didnt he say his gameplan was to let zab have his way early on because he knew zab was gonna loose focus. I guess you guys forgot that when you through all those combinations and you miss you tire yourself out, pacman is smarter than that oops i mean freddy roach is smarter than that since pacman is his puppet

This article pretty much sums up what the whole world is thinking. It's really difficult to pick a winner, because the fight could go either way. That is what makes this potential match up so interesting and exciting to boxing fans and even the mainstream casual fans.

This will be one hell of a superfight. Lets just hope and pray Floyd gets past Marquez, otherwise it loses a lot of appeal

yeah you can still know the sport decently if you havent boxed but your knowledge will always be limited, like take roy and larry, no way does larry know more about boxing than roy, and the difference is roy has boxed and larry hasnt, roy can understand technical things that larry cant because roy has seen them in the gym or used them himself, that kind of thing

I think pacq's speed is being over rated! He was blazing fast against which opponents? Which of those guys were considered speed merchants? How long will the "speed" of pacq last? He has fought less than 12 rds in the past year, possibly 2yrs by the time this fight gets made. I saw him fade against jmm. I think he will be forced to think and miss more when fighting pbf. And just like all his fights, pbf will take his time frustrate pacq and drown him late. It will be exciting for the 1st 4rds though. But, afterwards, game over.

I actually agree with paulie M but it all depend on how decides to take on Pacman, Paq would fight his usual fight and his speed and stance would give Mayweather a lot of problems. Judah was able to do that to Mayweather but he never got out of there after throwing his combo, He stayed there enough for Mayweather to counter him.

If Paq throws his combo and gets out like Pauli M suggest then i do think Pacman would win a decision because he wouldnt give Mayweather the chance to throw anything back if pacman isnt there to be hit.
