Why All The Hate For Berto?

I cant beleive you guys. Dude tried hard to make a match with Sugar Shane and Cotto. The 2 guys who everyone on here sweat and says are the best in the divison. Both guys turned him down so he went to Urango. Im a big Collazo fan but I dont mind this move at all. Berto had a super tough fight with Collazo and is relativley inexperinced. This decision makes perfect sense to me. Either get the mega fight with Shane & Cotto or just take a easier fight to clear the cobwebs and fight someone good the next time. I cant beleive people hate on him for this move. Stop acting like he didnt try to get a Mosley & Cotto fight. He did it openly and both said NO for whatever reason. IM not saying theyre scared but they said NO. Since they said NO then just take a easier fight. He's not ready to have all those tough fights back to back "unless" its for all the marbles like a Cotto or Mosley fight wouldve been. I bet anything that after Urango he tries to fight Cotto or Mosley again and this time if they say NO, he will fight Collazo or Quintana.

I heard one guy just said that Berto tried to make the Mosley fight but he didnt beleive there people really wanted it. Thats what Im talking aobut. Its just hating just for the sake of it. They turn him down and he gets ripped for it? Its ****** man. He wouldve definatly takened the Mosley or Cotto fight because he matches up well with both of them. Theyre not Southpaws. I bet when Merchant ask him after the Urango fight who he wants next then he will again say Mosley or Cotto and if they wont then give him Collazo. We have to remember that he's not in a normal situaion. He's not like a regular up & comer where its easy to move up. The WW division is so loaded that its hard to pick the right fight. He's basically going to be jumping from regular guys straight to a P4P guy in Cotto or Mosley. What other guys do that? Thats "if" they fight him. Trust me though, its real and I think he would give both of those guys hell right now. Dont compare the Collazo fight. Its a totally different style. The bottom line is that he's not fight a WW but he's not exactly fighting a bum either and Urango is a huge WW. The guy tried to fight the 2 best WW's and I have no doubt that he will fight someone really good in his next fight

I agree with mangler, i don't see bandwagons/haters for Berto here yet. He's being brought up like he's supposed to. Forbes, Collazo and Urango are no push overs especially at Berto's age and at this point of his career. He could have still been fighting journeymen.

Theyre was a thread the other day that was like 3 pages deep and every single person ripped him for this fight. I think you were on it too. They all said that he should fight Collazo. They were basically saying that he's a punk for fighting a 140 pounder, should be getting ripped for taking this fight, and needs to step up. They act like he never tried to get a big fight and he is just taking the easy way out. I totally disagreed. I made this thread because I heard someone say it again. They said that the Urango fight is a joke and Berto should be ashamed of himself

He does get a bit of hate. Not usually anything to severe just the typical, "he's overrated" and "he'll get his ass kicked by ______."

I like berto, he's exciting to watch and has very good skills.

I wanna see a Collazo rematch, but I didn't rip him for Urango. I said if he wasn't gonna be a tuneup for Mr boat buyer or SSM, I woulda much preferred the Collazo rematch. Nothin horribly wrong wit a Urango fight imo.

berto is a good fighter being bought along nicely - forbes, then collazo and now urango.

its important for him to get this in ring experience before he jumps in with cotto or SSM or even clottey imo. part of e does stilll think that he has chin issues and the above three will test his chin and his skills. right now i dont think he beats any of them
