Why dont they ever show the replay of a knockout on espn

I never understood this i mean i assume its HBO and them being greedy as hell again but after the pac fight on ESPN they only showed the one knockdown and not the knockout. They do this for just about every knockout on ppv now.

HBO wants people to tune into the replay they'll show. Even if its just to get a glimpse of the KO.

They are on patrol on all video sharing sites too. Taking down all footage of the KO.

The KO is what people want to see.

      yea thats basically it.
youd think theyd let espn show it. woud prob get more casual fans interested in a fighter and the sport.
i dont think casual fans are gunna get hbo or make them tune into the fight just to see the knockout.
they can see highlights online somewhere

HBO has the rights to the fight and they want you to watch it on there network. Once the fight gets old then they can sell it to ESPN/Classic for some change. You should be happy with the 1 knock down. They usually never even show that. I remember it wasnt long ago where they wouldnt show anything but both guys jabbing or something. Theyre starting to give us a little more but not much

I hate the re-done commentary of HBO fights. ESPN Classic has a contract with Showtime, so they can show it with the original commentaries (Albert, Czyz, Turdie Pacheco), but not with HBO.

They'll show some fight with Joe Mesi doing the commentary and the fight took place when Mesi was like 10 years old.

Sometimes you see their errors. ESPN showed Duran-Moore and Al Bernstein talks about Duran coming back from fights like the Hearns one.

Come on Al, Hearns-Duran was a year after Duran-Moore.

Actually it's as simple as a lack of sponsorship. HBO and Showtime show replays of knockouts because their sponsored by the network....

If you watch replays of any othe sport on major networks...the replays are always sponsored by a company. Whether it be toyota for the nfl, or burger king or whatnot. Friday night fights dont have very many sponsors.
