Cotto needs to increase his stamina, protect himself from the uppercut and STOP! converting soth paw everytime he back pedals.

Yes, BUT, he needs to turn southpaw more often during the course of the fight. Every time he turns southpaw he lands the big straight left, he did it to Mosley, he did it to Torres, it was the turning point in the Quintana fight.

Plus, he's got a very good right cross, but he doesn't have a great straight. Against Clottey I think he needs to turn southpaw and try to land that straight left through Clottey's guard. Just as long as he isn't backing up.

Margarito is a disgrace now, but before January 24th he was a bigger draw then Cotto. The numbers he pulled in at the Staples Center speak for themselves.

but .. for me. .cotto has been training him self a logn time ago.. i havnt see nany improvement in cotto in a long long time... the only one.. was when he move up in weight.. .other than that... he have been the same...

he always have been dealing with his uncle.. and not having to deal with him now is the best thing that could have happen to him...

if we are going to see miguel @ his peak ...that its gonna be real close if not in june 13.

I think Cotto is the more rounded fighter and the harder hitter. It will be interesting to see if Clottey can take that vaunted left hook to the body Cotto throws with anger

and while I agree with Evangalista being gone he would have been better served with a guy like Orlando Cuellar overseeing the trainining because while Hernandez may know Cotto better he may not know what he is doing wrong from a boxing perspective and to me that makes a huge difference

it was like when Bojado went with his nutrionist Rob Garcia as his trainer. now granted Bojado is no Cotto but he didn't know what to do in the ring with Garcia as his trainer

if he gets by Clottey he better hire a trainer that is suited for boxing and not making weight
