Will UFC 100 negatively affect the Marquez vs Mayweather PPV sales?

In a previous thread I asked which would do better sales. Shortly after, I realized that what I really meant to ask was the following:

Will UFC 100 negatively affect the Marquez vs Mayweather PPV sales?

The UFC PPV is exactly one week before the HBO PPV. With the UFC show being first, it seems that fans of both sports would likely have spent their PPV allowance by the time Marquez vs Mayweather rolls around.

While it may still do decent numbers, I don't think it was smart choice to compete with this particular UFC event. The PPV sales for Mayweather's grand return are sure to dissapoint.

Wow, a 50-50 split in votes. I personally don't think the Mayweather - Marquez fight does any better than Manny vs Ricky. And I think the UFC show will have something to do with this.

I don't think the fight will be affected, but I don't think it was a smart decision to make by the executives involved in the fight. I still feel the buzz of Mayweather's return is huge & expect the fight to sell well.

Brock Lesnar, St Pierre and a bunch of other fools, don't know, but it's UFC 100. Everyone's gonna buy it and it's probably gonna cost like 60 dollars. After the PPV parties for the UFC event, nobody is gonna have any money to spend the next weekend for the boxing PPV.

On the UFC fight with some of those guys fighting, you know most likely you will be getting your money's worth. On the Floyd side, he has been known for boring PPVs at times so its a gamble.

I expect Floyd vs Marquez to do about 600,000+ buys which is good. Especially if the undercard turns out good. Anything more is just gravy. I don't think the UFC will steal much of it's thunder as there are not as many crossover fans to both sports as many seem to think.

It wont do better than Manny vs Ricky, but it will still do considerably well for a comeback fight... and I voted yeah, UFC 100 might have something to do with it if it doesn't get as much as expected.

Could go either way. I hope it sells out the event at least.
