The 3+ years he spent as heavyweight champion before losing to Buster. He was also decent after his prison release through the Holyfield fights, but biting off Evander's ear kind of finished his career for him.

To make the answer short Prime Mike Tyson would be before Kevin Rooney was fired IMO.

Last Fight with Rooney; Last fight at his best.

Whenever he put on the black shorts and black shoes seemed to be when he was comfortable as a fighter. Forget which fight was the fight he first had both black shorts and black shoes and stuck with it throughout.

I would say this fight was for sure the beginning of what we now label as his prime. It was a big confidence being the Champion as well and he would continue to mature.

Whose fault was it that Rooney left or was fired? I heard King wanted to replace his training team, but also Tyson was just growing to be an ******* and Rooney could no longer contain him. I know Cus was like a father to Tyson and tyson was at least obedient to him, but Rooney wasnt that same type of figure to him. Either way I know that ****head King wasnt helpful at all in the situation.

I'm not sure what was going on between the two but from an outside perspective...I put the blame on Tyson for making the wrong choice(s). He chose others over his trainer. A trainer that was linked to him before he was "IRON MIKE TYSON" and the man that helped guide him to the title.

IMO prime tyson was on his way up and probably when he unified the HW division..
Cuz died quite early on so wudn't say prime tyson was then, but i'd defo say he started slipping once rooney was fired, it was his viscious combo's, power, speed n conviction which makes me believe at his best no one could beat him...boy if cus had lived i think he wud've just defended the whole HW division 20 times n retired undefeated ;P

BUT the real question is did tyson have the feet to be fleet footed?
