    Q&A with Juan Manuel Marquez

    Q: - Welcome to Britain how have you found it?
    Juan Manuel Marquez - Thank you, i’m very happy to be in the UK. Thank you for having me.

    Q: - When do you going into training camp?
    Juan Manuel Marquez - I have already had a month in training already, i’m in shape. But when i go back to Mexico City from now on in i will dedicate my time just to the gym.

    Q: - Your brother Rafael, returns this weekend. Will you be back in Mexico for his fight?
    Juan Manuel Marquez - No, i’m going to keep on training. He’s going to fight his fight. Plus we don’t like to see each other. They feel nervous for each other.

    Q: - Where will you train for this fight?
    Juan Manuel Marquez - The mountains with altitude the running. I’m going to do a lot of things, your going to be surprised. You will see on 24/7.

    Q: - You will link up with Nacho (Beristain Marquez trainer) after your brothers fight this weekend?
    Juan Manuel Marquez - Nacho had a fight on Thursday (Vicente Escobedo stopped Kevin Kelley in Sacramento) and he’s going to fly to Monterrey and then he’s going to take a plane to Mexico City to train me.

    Q: - You have seen all the top fighters train with Nacho who do you think is the best?
    Juan Manuel Marquez - There is no small names all are great, the all write there own stories. All are the best. I can not say Ricardo (Lopez), Zaragoza or Roman all were great. Nacho did a great job with them all.

    Q: - Growing up with Rafael, what grew you to boxing?
    Juan Manuel Marquez - My father, he brought us to the gym. He taught Rafael and me.

    Q: - Did you used to beat your brother up?
    Juan Manuel Marquez - Hahahahaha We used to have a little fight. I am older and it never went beyond because i respect my brother.

    Q: - Who was your hero growing up?
    Juan Manuel Marquez - Julio Cesar Chavez.

        I've heard about the possibility of JMM having to train at a different location during this fight because of the swine flu epedimic. I guess Marquez and his camp have ultimately decided to stay in the mountains of Mexico though.
