Even Amir Khan has faced better opposition than Dmitriy Salita.

Salita has never faced a single top 100 junior welterweight! His opponents have been low-level clubfighters from small towns, some of whom he's struggled against. He'll get his title shot aginst the winner of Khan-Kotelnik, but hasn't done anything to deserve it. He should have to face a top 50 ranked opponent first - even a veteran like Vivian Harris would be a big step up from anyone Salita's ever fought.

(awaiting accusations of anti-Semitism for my being honest about Salita)

Salita is the top rated contender according to the WBA. so whoever wins Khan-Kotelnik, will have to fight Salita (as he will be the mandatory opponent)

I remember this fight of Salita where he was supposed to be showcased as a good prospect but then got KD twice by an unknown fighter with a record of 10W 2L 1 KO.. maybe this will be a good fight though.

I could imagine Khan to take this, if he should win the title. After watching Salita alot over the years, he is a good solid fighter at best, but he 's nothing special up to now.

He holds a record of 31 fights, with 30 wins and 1 draw. But his level of competition has been rather medicore, his best wins are really not much to talk about, and I would like to see him in more mean worthy fights to see just how good he is.

If the two should ever meet, I feel like this would be a fight Khan could win. But lets see if he shall get past Andriy Kotelnik who is nobodies push over.

Funny do, Salita claimed that Kotelnik avoided fighting him.
