Say Clottey wears Black gloves; would it be to his advantage rather than say, wearing Red Gloves?
Same could be said with Hatton wearing White gloves instead of red or black.
So basically, maybe a fighter should have to wear Red Gloves or opposite to their skin complexion. Or everybody should start wearing a glove that matches the skin complexion since in a street-fight, your hands are the same color as the rest of your body.
So...do you think it would be easier for an opponent to see Red Gloves on a Black fighter as opposed to that fighter wearing Black gloves when he has black skin?
Same with a White fighter wearing White gloves as opposed to Red or Black.
I was thinking about this when I was remembering my glory days when I used to do a little sparring and remembered what I was thinking back then....I liked when Red gloves were worn more because they were easier to get your attention and see on the opponent...much more than when I had some fights in the streets and the hands matched the rest of the person.
