Everytime time I hear Mosley's name, I hear in the back of my head COTTO, COTTO, COTTO. He has unfinished buisness. I cant even say he is the best WW in the world right now, let alone any where near P4P. Floyd is making history over here, Shane has to deal with the situation he is in. Shane gets winner of Cotto Clotty, much better for boxing right now.

Win,lose or draw...Mosley stepped in the ring with two people whom others avoided like the plague, and doing so while both were in their primes. Opponents like Bruseles, Gatti, Shamba Mitchell,Baldomir ain't exactly murderers row. Mayweather fights for money, not accomplishment. Great athletes seek out greatness, challenges, to reinvent themselves in the moment.Floyd seeks out checks. Michael Jordan sought greatness by taking on challenges and adding to his legend. Mayweather is incredibly talented, but being incredibly talented does not equate to building to an incredible legacy.

To the nimrod who said that Mosley is avoiding Paul Williams, Mosley stepped in the ring against both Winky and Vernon Forest, while others avoided both like the plague, is that not enough proof that instead of taking the best money fight, he sought to prove to himself great?

What does it say that Mayweather hasn't even fought Cotto yet? Margarito? A good tuneup fight would have been against a real welterweight? I'm not a Mayweather hater, so put the brakes on before you assume that. I believe he is the most talented man in boxing, but he cares more about losing than winning, if you can read between the lines.
With that said, Through all Shane Mosley's fights and
great accomplishments he still is the one chasing the
big $ fights and not getting them. If Shane would
have been smart Floyd would have still be chasing
him for a fight instead of Mosley waiting for guys
that came under him to give him a shot at the big $.
Shane said he has been making money before Floyd
so how come he is chasing Floyd and is not the name
that fighters need right now? Mosely just had an
interview before the Floyd one about Manny Pacquiao
needs to fight him? Come on, Shane is reaching, he
should just be doing him and should not have to chase
guys save that for Paul Williams and Andre Berto. Mosley
is supposed to be waaaaaay past that. Goes to show it's
not all about the talent it is also a BUSINESS! especially
if you want to get PAID.

Fighting JMM isnt a great way to start it off. Even though im hoping for a great fight. If he wins.... Many wont give credit. If any. Id love to see Masley Vs Mayweather over any fight to be made with Mayweather in it.
You go to SF boxing gym? I go out there every once in a while when I feel the urge to box. In any case, I am glad that Mosley's tooth is finally healed. lol.

No one has said that Mosley isn't a great fighter, so what's your point? A greater all time fighter than Mayweather? No. Mosley lost alot of the big ones, I don't care who he stepped in the ring with. Zab Judah has faced the toughest opposition out of all these dudes, but he lost. Does that make him a great fighter too?

And yes I believe Mosley is avoiding Paul Williams, as he has himself stated that he would prefer not to fight him. That sounds to me like he would rather avoid Williams. Maybe it's simply because he wants a money fight, but if that's the case, Floyd shouldn't be criticized for doing the same. Though they are both elite fighters, Floyd's stardom puts him in a different level as far as his mega-fight options. He doesn't care about the best fight, as much as he does the most lucrative. It just so happens the best fighter and biggest payday happens to be the same man: Manny Pacquiao. And how would a better tune-up be against a welterweight, as opposed to a catchweight bout with the #2 fighter P4P?

In summary, say what you want to but Floyd is thinking in dollars and in sense. If he beats the #1 and #2 best P4P fighters in the same year, his legend will forever be cemented in boxing history.

You should cover you face up, are you gay? Mosley is a big time *****. Floyd has offered to fight him several times and Mosley kept running, I remember when Ivan Robinson was suppose to fight Mosley and he backed out of the contract as well. Mosley wants no part of Paul Williams, oh Mosley can fight Margarito but he can't fight Williams. You know why? Because the same ass whoopin that Vernon forrest gave Mosley Paul's ass whoopin would be worse.

i agree. shane should fight the winner of Cotto/Clottey. if he won that would giv him leverage for a big fight in 2010

flody couldnt even beat an old de la hoya . what is shane going to do to him ?
shane beat a prime de la hoya years ago. mayweather beat de la hoya
and retired like he had just beaten tyson ... rotfl

mayewather is definitely back for the $$$ thats why he was trying to get
an old de la hoya to come out of retiremetn so they could fleecethe public
                  by having a rematch

I'd like to respond but this post is intelligible. Good luck and stay away from sharp objects.
