Except Haye didn't get KOed. His corner threw in the towel after he received a series of hits..

It was a big step up for Haye with only 10 fights. His team underestimated Thompson a bit and David has a lot of muscle making it tough to train for 10 or 12 rounds. If he goes on to whip both Klits, I don't think anyone will remember the Thompson fight. Undisputed CW and HW champ, who cares if he lost early in his career?

Well Wlad didn't get KO'd either, the ref basically threw his exhausted a$$ to the ground and then waved off the fight. Both were spent and would've been KO'd if the fights had continued.

I really dont care that he lost early on in his career i think it was actually a good thing for him, One thing i about him was he didnt bother himself with loads of bum fights, He went the right route by winning the british,European title before going into his opponent backyard to become the linear champ at 200Ib and he fought his main domestic rival before moving up.

That is good enough for me.

Haye wanted it bad. He improved alot after that fight it did wonders for him but even then it was just a cross between Thompsons crazy recoup powers and Haye not having the stamina back then or the experiance to take his time he went hell for leather and he nearly KO'd Carl, Fatigue KO'd Haye

Haye definitely should have tried to avenge the loss. I think maybe he was afraid of being stopped again.
