What will help revive the sport is manny pacquiao vs floyd mayweather.

It will be the biggest selling fight in history and it will decide who is the greatest of this era.

Out of all the people to beat Floyd you'd want it to be Marquez? That does nothing for the history of the sport. If someone is gonna beat him first it should be Pacman because then atleast we'll have a clear picture of the best fighter of this era.

Well if JMM does win then why cant we just have Pac-Marquez for the fighter of the era? If Floyd loses then i don't think he'll be the number 1 or 2 anymore especially if he gets beat by a guy moving up 9 or 10 pound from a weight class that he was already small for.

Hmmm, the plan is not yet failed. All we need now is Pacman to succeed against Cotto, and Floyd won't even have to worry about Cotto later on. He'll take care of Marquez soon and then we can see the legacy-boxing history defining fight.
