It is not just the Hatton thing that has made Maywether well known though. it is the fact that he has been on top longer, speaks proper English, came on WWE and is on MTV Cribs every week. Plus he has had more time to grow in celebrity since knocking Hatton out. Don't underestimate the WWE thing. I would say that only boxing/sport fans know about Pacman whereas even WWE fans and materialistic Crib worshipping youth know about Money Mayweather. I hear alot of non-boxing fans talking about these priogrammes, including celeb gossip girlies.

This is essentially it when I went to the training day people didnt know who roger was etc there were loads of these celebrity worshipping people there even Jermain defoe and kieran Dyer were there im pretty sure they arent boxing fans rather they just wanted to meet Maywaether the celebrity

Well it depends on where you live/reside, London is very diverse but the filipino community has to be one of the smallest in london. So you dont see many of them around, Even the one i work with his a british-born filipino who knows more about England than his parents country.

I live in Birmingham England. And am a Fan of Both PAC and PBF. For casual Boxing fans both are equally as popular, but with the non-boxing general public PBF is more known by a long distance!. even ma GF (that has never watched boxing) knows PBF lol
