I like contrast of styles, seeing all different sorts of fights. I would think a boxing writer would have a similar view~.

If someone wants to make a living fighting in a ****ty style that is their god given right, if they get paid so be it, not that big a deal.

Proving you can beat unmarketable cuties is nice, but it won't hurt Manny at all if those cuties were Raheem and Guzman. It will hurt if the May fight doesn't happen because folks will remember not seeing the biggest fight of alltimethisweekanyways.

Exactly. The premise isnt all wrong but the headline is. There was really no impetus for Pacquiao to fight guzman or raheem. Why risk losing or look bad winning a fight that doesnt bring u money & doesnt enhance your boxing legacy.

I haven't read this whole thread, so what is the ethnic background of the writer? The whole post was foolish, and I was done with it when he was trying to justify using Joan Guzman as an example of an African American. I skipped down to the thoughts, and I found them inane as well (Mayweather won't outspeed Marquez?).

          sue his ***** ass.

it would be nice if his next fight's purse goes to nate.

nate agreed to fight him even with the weight disadvantage and he still pussied out.

Is Nate going to go that route though, I mean litigation is about the only way to get back at them but that is kind of pricey and might be like trying to get blood from a stone (although I guess you could force Guzman into bankruptcy, turn about is fair play).

cory spinks should get paid $1 million minimum a fight.

I think those 3 words right there are the biggest problem with alot of todays fighters......

I don't think it matters that much, free markets can price what they want. If someone is paying them they must be worth it~.

Actually, the main defendant will be Sycuan, with Guzman as a co-defendant. Obviously I cant get into the specifics as to why that is at this time, but I can (and will) once the action is filed.

And you are correct in that a judgement against Guzman wouldnt be worth the paper it was printed on......

He means African-American if that black fighter beats Manny.

As long as the black fighter is beaten, he's not African-American enough. He's just black.
