Yep. Bayless was almost counting Gonzales out. That was like at 8 or 9 and then he waved the bout off. Not immediately after the 3rd round knockdown of the Mexican.
Be that as it may, damn you, Nishioka! I expected you to be victorious, but never in this fashion! At the sight of the first knockdown, I was like, "Et tu Nishioka." But he came back fast, strong and furious. That straight left hand that knocked Jhonny almost unconsicous was somwhow quite Pacquiao-esque. He made my day, period. He said, "I'm a world champion. I fight whoever wants to fight me." Now it makes me wonder if Rafael Marquez can come back down to 122 and take on Nishioka.
Now Nishioka made an impact on Mexican soil and, more importantly, put and end to the losing streak of Japanese pro boxers fighting outside of Japan. Can't wait to see Hasegawa in action outside Japan next!Comment

Good to see you here. Im dissapointed in gonzalez, i havent seen the fight, but he seemed like he was on the verge of picking up the pices of those key losses and bouncing back. i guess i was wrong, i had high hopes for him.Comment

its like this warp, in the short site, staying in japan is the quick money route, but continued exposure in the united states and taking small purses in the short term will net you long term gains and having your name in the international mix. i hope more japanese fighters think long term and legacyComment
