Before hopkins amazing performance against pavlik. another floyd thread

hopkins got credit for beating a smaller trinidad, smaller de la hoya, even made an already smaller winky fight him at a catch of 170 i believe it was, and got credit for that, yet a lot of people say floyd is fighting smaller fighters and what not, boxing has always been that way, fighters will always move around weights to make fights happen. it sucks that floyd gets a lot of hate but thats more because of his personality then anything. and i do have a problem wit mosley saying floyds ducking him when floyd was chasing mosley before the oscar fight and even had a open date after mosley beat vargas the second time and in the interview wit merchant said he couldnt fight floyd cause he was going on vacation with his family and that his tooth was loose and he had to go to the dentist??? does anyone have that clip.

    i agree.

hopkins is the most overated fighter. became a vegitarian so he couls stay at middleweight all those years. didn't rematch RJJ because RJJ was too big for him. fought a bunch of blown up middleweights. lost to taylor 2x and calzaghe. who has he really beat in their PRIME? pavlik is not the same fighter @ 170 and that's clear.

20 title defenses at one weight class, taking on all comers underdog or not, is not Overrated. Moving 2 weight classes to fight the number 1 guy at that weight and schooling him, is not overrated. Yes, he fought his fare share of small guys, but how come you leave out the part where he was UNDERDOG vs Trinidad, Tarver, and Pavlik? I forgot if he was the underdog against Winky too. My point is, Bernard Hopkins is not overrated, he has proved himself time after time.

        thank you kevin.

you saved me having to write out a essay on why Hopkins is a great fighter to the obvious Hopkins hater who posted above you.

Kevin said it all but we have to admit, Mayweather doesn't get off as easy and it isn't fair.

Yeah but Hopkins wasn't blatantly avoiding guys in his own weight class like Floyd is.
