What about the left hook and straight right that wobbled him there. Hopkins won that fight.

hey you're not supposed to pay attention to landed punches. you are supposed to be mesmerized by the ineffective windmill flurries that don't land. landing punches while making the other guy miss? how is that boxing? just keep throwing and fool the judges go go go!

Who cares. Your opinion is Hopkins won, and that's OK with me. The majority had Calzaghe winning. Find ANY poll on here and it'll show you the people who thought Hopkins won are in the minority.

Fact: It was a close fight.

My belief is Hopkins didn't do anywhere near enough to win. I'm a fan of both, btw.

From winning the world title to retirement Calzaghe fought 24 times.

9 fights against former/current/future world champions.

Eubank, Reid, Woodhall, Brewer, Mitchell, Lacy, Kessler, Bhop, RJJ.

                      8 fights against mandetory challengers.

Ferreyra, Thornberry, Sheika, Viet, Jimenez, Salem, Veit again, Bika

                      the other 7 are

                      Sobot - easy first defence.
Starie - top british contender for a world title, an obvious pick for a local fight.
McIntyre - Tune up for Brewer
Pudwill - Late replacement for Thomas Tate who got injured.
Mkrtchyan - frankly just a bum
Ashira - tune up for Lacy
                      LoLfredo - US exposure.

Could he have done better? Yes, but I don't see how thats different from RJJ's title reign or BHop's.
