WTF. B-hop was 43 years old and past his prime when he fought calzaghe. any reasonable calzaghe fan knows that.

well i give Calzage some type of credit but not the greatest an what messed up his career was that he faced Hopkins,JRR when they were old not when we wanted to back in 2000 so bcuz of that he will never be consider An ATG!!!!

Joe has tons of boxing skill. He was one of the most adaptable fighters out there and could probably outbox anybody. Sadly, he chose not to fight Toney, RJJ and Hopkins in their prime and though we will never know what the true outcome of these fights could have been, I still think he would lose to them.

But Joe is a great boxer and ironically, it's one of the knocks against him, he boxed too much. He didn't exhibit any kind of power against the top fighters.

how did the thread starter come to these copnclusions.

joe almost got beat by a 44 year old hopkins, i'd say if they would have fought when b-hop was 38, b-hop would have won.

and prime roy jones would destroy him, joe wouldent make it to the 8th round.

and toney at SMW would beat the **** out of joe.

joe's a good fighter, but dont compare him to ATG's

you got it exactly. a good excuse to pull out of fights and for his lack of power that he never had.
