    Shane's popularity

wtf... he fought for the WW championship and it wasnt even PPV... he is NOT a draw.. boxing wise, I think he has the best chance to beat PBF. PBF knows it too,and thus it wont happen.

this fight has litteraly no reward for PBF, speaking in terms of opportunity cost*(if u study econ), or simply put: there will always be a more profitable fight available for PBF, and if he took it: and say he wins, he will lose fans due to another boring fight at WW(and thus future $), if he loses he loses his undefeated, mega-star status(and thus future$)...... and he will lose, or win a boring decision, hes not trading and winning that fight, maybe the last 15 secs like the ODL fight, but thats it........fight wont ever fckin happen so forget about it.............

he could fight hatton in england and make 10 mil, no questions asked...he wont take 10 for a fight that will hurt his career.....

Well i hope he fights Mosley if a fight with Paq or Cotto cant be made at the moment, Mosley didnt capitalise on his name when he was hot, And Mosley was a good guy and we all know there were too many good guys around in boxing like de la hoya.

Shane can draw in L.A. His PPV numbers are what he struggles with because rarely are his fights on PPV. And everytime they are PPV, it's because of the other guy.

Nonetheless, Mayweather will eventually have to morphe into the fighter that can draw HUGE with anyone. If he beat Pacquiao, then Cotto/Clottey winner, especially if Cotto. Only two names are reasonable. One would be Mosley, the other being Amir Khan. (Speaking financially, of course.)

          It takes 2 to tango.

I mean, besides Hatton and DLH, What other fighst did FLoyd sell like those 2?

I mean, both where huge fights, but t was because of his oposition, not becaquse of FLoyd.

hell he couldnt even sold out a aena in his home town.

People been wantin to see Mr boat buyer fight SSM for yrs. And SSM is the top WW right now. Mr boat buyer can draw against anybody people think can KO him, so this fight could make $. I don't expect Mr boat buyer to ever take it tho.

He is a lot bigger now than he was back then though... the De La Hoya and Hatton fight was when he started to become more noticed, now he is a much bigger draw... in every fight his name is mentioned... hes massive in Boxing and that is something everybody has to come to terms with.

u are right! , floyd is a catalyst, and not a draw........and hes made over what like 40 mil in 2 fights in that role......shane isnt a draw or a catalyst ......... (people want to see floyd lose, and they would love to see their guy do it, its more than that, but u know what i mean by catalyst, or someone who cements/drives/stimulates the appeal of a fight.......)
