After the Juan Diaz fight Marquez had no other intentions of fighting at 135 and declared he was campaigning at 140, he already comes in at fights well over 140 pounds and Mayweather is one of the only boxers I've ever seen that is discipline enough to weigh in the night before and day of the fight at the same exact weight... Though I'm confident Mayweather will win this fight... Anyone thinking fighting JMM is a walk in the park is out of their mindsComment

Yea, I see what you mean,
seeing how impressive Marquez has been above 140.
Gotta love how Floyd stans hype this fight up as competitive.
Rod Barker, I take you're unaware Marquez has never fought above the lightweight division?
What he weighs on fight night in the lightweight division is irrelevant to a fight that is taking place above 140, his first time ever, while this will be Floyds 5th.
Number 2 pound for pound or not,
he's out of his element.Comment

4 pounds makes a big difference when it's hitting your face. Bottom line is, Marquez has never been tested at 147 or even 140 for that matter. We know that Mayweather can hang with the big boys due to his superior defense. Asking a man Marquez's age to move up to fight at a weight class he's never fought in is cowardly. If Marquez is truly P4P#2 (or 1 depending on your views..) then why is Mayweather calling the shots? If it's just so that Mayweather gets the most money for the smallest amount of risk then Money May gets no cred from me.

Uh, that's what DLH did with Mayweather. Would you not have given Oscar credit if he had beaten Floyd? Riiiiiiiight.4 pounds makes a big difference when it's hitting your face. Oscar doesn't go around calling himself the best fighter in boxing and an ATG. He was doing it for the payday, and so was Money May. Perhaps I'm part of a dying breed of boxing fans who believe fighters should fight for glory, not paychecks. That's probably why Money May is my least favorite fighter, though I acknowledge his skills. Out of all the fighters Mayweather could have reasonably picked, on paper, JMM poses the smallest risk and not even the biggest reward. I think Mayweather may be slippin in the financial decisions department or maybe that's just the way he ducks dangerous fighters who would give him a bigger payday.Comment
