Tarver would get killed in the rubber match regardless if that's true or not. Tarver is just too Hollywood.

Yeah I totally agree that Tarver gets destroyed in the last fight of the trilogy. Tarver did not want the third fight when everyone was asking for it. Now he wants to do it because his name means nothing anymore in the sport. He is way overrated anyway. His only claim to fame was that lucky eyes closed one punch knockout of Roy Jones. It even got him a starring role in the worst of the Rocky movies. Just like Glenn said in the article he is an overachiever and lucky to have gotten the big money fights he did. It doesn't matter because Glenn is negotiations to fight Dawson again, and we know he would fight Dawson for peanuts.

Tarver didn't call my name after our second fight. As many times as I've said that I would like to fight Tarver and get an opportunity for the third fight. He has never said anything about fighting me or wanting to fight me. I also called him out after the third Roy Jones Jr fight. I told him our third fight was the fight people wanted to see. He told me, no, he fought too many hard fights, and I should go overseas and fight Clinton Woods, get the IBF belt and then maybe we could fight. He goes on to fight Bernard Hopkins, who whipped him and took him to school. And he went on because of opportunities that politics gave him to make major money, while I went on to fight the same kind of opponent and make chump change.

"He says I'm a hater and he's right. I recognize good language when I see it, I am a hater, but not of Tarver, I'm a hater of the politics of boxing that keep allowing what's going to go on. I support every fighter who can go out and make their money. But in reality, he's the hater, because right now people are talking about me and he's willing to fight me now. He seems to be the hater now because nobody is talking about Tarver right now. He feels he has to step up and knock me. You yourself recognize that you're an overachiever, I was there when you said that. That meant to me that you understand your mediocre skills and know that the politics of boxing helped get you into that position because you don't have the skils to do what you've done.

"I recognize this and I'm sure others do as well. Now you've already run your course, and you need attention. Now you're suddenly ready to fight Glen Johnson. Now that the shoe is on the other foot it doesn't feel that good does it? You should have fought me when the people and TV were interested in you. Nobody seems to be interested to you right now. But put that to the side, if you can get a TV network to put on the fight, let's do it. If you can get the public to be interested in the fight, let's do it. You seem to have been replaced by Chad Dawson, another southpaw about the same height as you, but younger and also American. It doesn't feel good when they turn their backs on you and move on to the next guy. Welcome brother. Welcome to the feeling.
"I am a much better fighter than Antonio Tarver and if Chad Dawson keeps on running and Tarver can get the TV to approve I, I will show him and the rest of the world how much better than him I am."

        I already posted this.

Tarver is past his best but he does have victories over Glen Johnson and Roy Jones for his legacy.

Love him or hate him, Tarver fought them all.

He can retire peacefully at this point.

I don't hate Tarver and I give him credit for the guys he has fought but the guy is too much of an underperformer for me to really respect him. I was even rooting for him to beat Dawson in both fights so that goes to show you how little I respect Chad. But Tarver has always talked big **** and not step up to the plate in his big fights and it speaks for itself.

The last part of your post is absolutely right and the truth of it is what's sad. He may even get peanuts in this rematch and he deserves better than that. I've mentioned this in another thread but I think the money split should be close to 50-50 because Johnson was robbed when he fought Dawson regardless of what anyone says. Add that to the fact that Dawson is a bust when it comes to bringing spectators to his fights.

Talks way too much for a person with very average skills.
