Calderon is very Focus for his next Fight

Ten months of inactivity, but the WBO Junior Flyweight champion , the unbeaten Puerto Rican Ivan Calderon is confident that this will not affect him when facing the Filipino Rodel Mayol on June 13 at Madison Square Garden in New York .

"Yesterday we went to 109 pounds without going hungry. Thanks to chef (Felix Pagan, co trainer), which I have lived with me for me to prepare meals at this time, "Calderon said today during a break in his training gym Wilfredo Gómez Arena on the instructions of Jose " CheChe" Sanchez and Pagan Pintor. "After 10 months without the weight (108 pounds), and we played it very well, since the body has become accustomed."

On his challenger, a Filipino who is ranked number one by the OMB and has a record of 25-3 with 19, the left unbeaten in 32 fights, said "I saw a little, but I love watching videos of my rivals before of fighting and a guy who uses his jab a lot and has good punch, but there is that I have to do my job, the job forever. Chechen (Jose Sanchez, his coach) and Painter have been watching the videos to work with strategies for the fight. "

The battle-Mayol Calderon will be part of the billboard will highlight the clash between Miguel Cotto and Joshua Clottey, for the WOB WW title!

Calderon is a pure boxer, if he was bigger like at least WW, he would have been a problem for any WW.

Not doubting Mayol, but I really hope to see Calderon-Viloria after that fight. The styles are good enough to make it a good fight.
