Troy Ross Lands on Diaconu vs. Pascal Undercard

Montreal – The province of Quebec is buzzing, eagerly anticipating the historical World Title bout that will take place exactly 4 weeks from today, on June 19th 2009, at the Montreal Bell Centre. Two local boxers will slug it out for much more than just bragging rights when Montrealer Adrian Diaconu (25-0-0, 15KO) defends his WBC World 175 pound title against Jean Pascal (22-1-0, 15KO) from Laval. This Gala went from local to international almost overnight, as GYM and InterBox proudly announce that the popular American television network “VERSUS” has acquired the broadcast rights for its large United States audience. According to popular boxing scribe Dan Rafael of ESPN, “Picking up Diaconu-Pascal was an intelligent decision” (by VERSUS). “Diaconu-Pascal is going to be a terrific fight with a lively atmosphere in one of the biggest matches in Canadian history”. I've been wondering who his opponent will be...

It was supposed to be Afolobi for the WBO interim title, but he has some kind of visa problem.
