It is just that to me this is the brass ring for Clottey, and for Cotto he wants to win to move on to bigger and better things. i think Cotto understand the deal and understands that this is a tough fight (and a pretty important fight) so it might not be a big deal, but I prefer fighters in Clottey position from a mentality stand point (although I think of Clottey as a frontrunner so if the fight starts to go against him, this advantage could leave him quickly, imo).

I think that Cotto's problem is if he gets caught off guard...even check hooks can stun.

Good point! If Clottey did win...this would be the fight that opens doors for him, but if he looses it could mean he would be set back...again.

if by feather fisted you're referring to clottey breaking his hands, i just thought about that too... that would play a major part in the fight as well... i think clottey learned his lesson in not throwing when he had margo looking ****** for 5 or 6 rounds and gave up the rest of the fight...

I do not think champ is referring to that, but I don't think he will hurt his hand again. When I used to box, I learned the first time.

If Clottey is active, I see him KO'ing Jotto in 10 rounds, if he just stays in a shell and counters I see Jotto winning a UD.

Heres the facts, Both guys are bull strong, Clottey Really bulks up after the weigh in as high as 170lbs! Cotto has the big fight experiance and the fight takes place in Cotto's House - MSG! But he also has some things going on behind the scenes (the fall out with his uncle) and has trained in a new place with a new trainer even if it is a familuar face. Both guys really want this, Cotto has big fights on the line and something to prove (mabey even to himself) and Clottey feels as tho he has been overlooked and will grab this chance with both hands! Speed is roughly the same IMO, Power go's to Cotto but Clottey CAN hit regardless of what people are saying and his chin and Defence are better than Miguels so if they go punch for punch im of the opinion that its The African who will come out on top, But Cotto is the more skilled fighter and of course has those Brutal Body shots, Joshua can dig to the body pretty well himself tho and his left uppercut is a worry as its the punch Miguel is most open for.

Im expecting Cotto to feel him out in the first round and then proceed to BOX em from range occasionally blasting Clottey with his combinations But Clotteys defence and pressure will enable him to catch up to Miguel at times and then we got a FIGHT! But Cotto can Really fight so even on the inside he can hold his own, i see him fighting and when he has to and boxing when he can. Clottey has good 12 round stamina IMO he just takes breaks, this might cost him on the cards against Miguel and his steady work rate tho.

Ultimatley i see Cotto having the greater variety and imagination and pulling out a tough UD, Clottey may slow late due to the body shots but he is a HARD man and will see it through.

I worry about Head clashes tho, Clottey is pretty rough and has a bad rep i just hope Cotto dont get cut via a butt
