You have to give him credit. It doesn't make up for his selection of fighters in the past, it doesn't replace other fights that would have been huge (tszyu @ 140, a younger Mosely @135, Stevie Johnston, etc) but moving forward I don't see how anyone can't give him credit since these are the best guys around his weight right now.

The longer he waits for Mosley, no I wouldn't give him credit for that one. But can't deny credit for a Cotto/Clottey win. Mosley is getting screwed right now, everyone is avoiding him now. And its ashame since he is only getting older but still shows he has talent left. My other complaint is I wish he had fought the big good welter-weights before chasing after guys who calls small then he gets upset when other people call them small... He is quite the hypocrite. Then he brings up the fact he was small at one time, and not the fact he has been fighting at ww for 4 of his past 5 fights.

Right, I don't make a **** load of Floyd threads, not many at all... so I aint bitching or moaning or defending Mayweather as a fighter...

There are some people here who are slightly critical against Floyd for reasons of him not fighting who they wanted him too, so my question is;

If Floyd fought and beat Marquez, then Pacquiao, then Cotto or Mosley (or both), would you give him the final credit and say he has proved his greatness (to the best he could be)?

If not then why?

I like Floyd, he impressed me at 130/135, though i thought Castillo beat him the first time round, but that's a different story. At 140 he didn't face the best fighters but i still respected him.

At 147 he hasn't done enough for me. Marquez is just a tune up to me, but if he beats Pac, Cotto and/or Shane then i will give him credit. I've always liked him, just not his choice of opposition, i just want to see him fight the best because i think he has the skills to beat them.

wtf are you talking about? Mosley had a chance to fight Mr boat buyer but chose to go to the dentist instead. It's Mosley that screwed himself.
