If Floyd does not fight Shane, I will have no issue at all. Cotto and Manny I have no issue with. I do not want Floyd fighting Williams as Paul is just too big. JMM I do have a bit of an issue with because, as he is incredibly talented, I feel he struggled more at lightweight and had to gut out his last two wins and will be very vulnerable when heavier still.Comment

Many fans and pundits (experts) favored Jose Luis Castillo, Diego, Gatti, Baldomir, Judah (some) and Oscar to beat Floyd. Many even favored Ricky to beat Floyd because Ricky was undefeated and had a bumrushing style with knockout power.I cannot remember any fighter being really favored over Floyd. Diego was a fairly even test potential wise. When Floyd fought Judah, it was actually the last time I saw Floyd taking a huge risk. Back then Judah was already inconsistent, but I was still at the stage of thinking Judah's performances were still determined on how motivated Judah was. I thought he could actually beat Floyd due to being naturally larger frame wise, faster and with considerable more power, along with what I thought he was truly motivated.
That was the last fight I felt excited for Floyd. When Floyd signs with Manny and Cotto, I will start getting excited again. Do I think they can beat Floyd? No, well the Floyd of old they can't. But they are still risky ventures, especially now that Floyd is a bit older.
I just feel JMM has extended himself way too far for this fight. He is still a super featherweight in my eyes and has struggled at lightweight to the point where he had to gut out those wins.
One only has to search the pre-fight hype on various forums to find out who favored who.
Floyd could've chosen a tomato can as a ring-rust-remover for his comeback fight, but instead chose a live opponent with a large following
in Juan Manuel Marquez.
Come fight night, they may both weigh near the same:
Marquez 145 - 146
Mayweather 145.5 - 146Comment

Dangerous fighters like who fool??????????
Oscar at 154 is more dangerous than anybody at 147 at the time.
Cotto can't even utter Floyd's name...Tony chose MANUEL GOMEZ over Floyd...and Shane hid behind his dentist.
When JMM retires there will be dangerous fighters looming..as the case when EVERYBODY retires.
Manny chose the LEAST dangerous of ALL 135lb champs in David Diaz...He chose a SHOT Oscar because Freddy Roach KNEW Oscar couldn't "pull the trigger" at 147.....Steve Forbes broke Oscar's eye-socket
WHAT ABOUT THAT?Comment

At least Floyd didn't fight Golden Johnson or Micheal Jennings.

haha..KING get real. It was an HONEST question and you and NO ONE ELSE will tell me otherwise. How can you tell me if I'm being honest or not?
I wanted to know WHY everyone is coming when the guy that is fighting is NOT. You can complain ALL you want. But the WHY is what I was trying to get at.
Notice how I started the thread with "WHY has everyone BUT..."
Your honesty can be told based on how you put your supposed question out there. All you ever do is try to find odd ways to post questions or ideas that make anyone who criticizes Floyd to seem ridiculous. Horus utilizes the same exact technique. It doesn't work against the smarter of the bunch on here.
The "why" you are looking for applies to every single fight Floyd hasn't taken and you should be an expert in this field. Your answer was an obvious one and you failed at making an air tight arguement for your boy.

Gotta agree. It's a damn shame.

The color of Floyds skin has nothing to do with it.
His choice of fights has everything to do with it.
But keep making the excuses that you are comfortable believing.
