Its a shame there was no way to have canceled the Tarver rematch clause some how and have had Glen in there instead but at least its happening now. Hopefully it will be as good as the first fight.

So everyone Dawson fights now is going to want a fuckin rematch, eh? The future doesn't look bright for this young lad. :conf3:

At this rate he may well end up like Mosley or Pac, with rematches all over his resume. It's not always a good thing, especially when a division is as dead as 175.

How do ya mean? Im not trying to be a **** but I would have thought the opposite, if the division is stacked u dont have time for rematches, if its not, then why not? I cant see him coming down to SMW, and there's plenty of time for him to go to cruiser of he wants to later in his career, and B'hop doesnt want anything to do with him.
Shame he had to fight Tarver again, but he didnt want to be stripped. Fair enough. The road warrior deserves this, but i fear he missed his oppertunity for the W in the first one. Dawson by UD.

Thing is, I thought he won the Johnson fight convincingly. It looked close in bits, but I had 116-112 in the end and didn't feel hard done by. There's a small part of me that wants to see a rematch, but a bigger part that wants to see him mix it up with Froch, RJJ, Bute, Kessler and others.

I think he should come down to 168. There seems to be more action going on there, and IMO it's always been a sort of relative to 175 (like 154-160 or 140-147, etc.)

All I can say is I hope whatever he does next turns out to be a stepping stone to bigger and better things, because he seems stuck in a rut right now - people aren't paying in droves to see him, and he's fought bitter old men for his last 3 fights.

            This is good news.

Dawson wins it more decisively this time.

if he can fight at 168 without losing any of his performance from the weight drop he should, he's not that big a LH, but coming down is bound to have a bit of an effect on him or surley he would be there already, and then move to LH. I guess only Dawson and his team know the answer to that.
I need to watch that fight again, but from what I can remember Dawson won quite a few closeish rounds, but the few he lost werent remotley close (making the fight seem closer than it was), i cant remember what i had it at but 8-4 doesnt sound too far wrong, maybe 7-5 i think i had it.

Hopefully Glen gets the rematch he deserves.
I can see Dawson winning by a clearer margin this time.

Yep and what he has learned is to wait for Glen to keep getting older. Then he can get an easy(ish) win and his fans will soak the chairs they sit in.

Good news. Hopefully this goes down. I was 30 rows from the ring at the first fight and I watched it numerous times on demand. Johnson won that fight! Maybe Dawson wins more clearly this time, but maybe he doesn't. The first fight was great. This should be good as well. Hopefully the winner gets the winner of Diacconu and Pascal in a unification fight.
