Pryor stops him, even if Cotto could manage to outbox him, Pryor would still get through because of his ongoing work rate and good punching power.

      Pryor should win.

However, Cotto does have a size advantage. Pryor probably could've made 135 under the same day weigh-ins, while Cotto is a welterweight in the 30-32 hour weigh-in era.

I'd make Cotto a pretty live underdog based on that alone.

However, a fight between the 2 at 147 as professionals? That would've been UGLY for Pryor.

Of course, according to internet logic, if you challenge someone at a press conference and the guy tells you to go away, then the guy offers you $500,000 but you turn it down because you want more, you apparently have "punked" that guy you have challenged.
Considering Hearns wasn't a big puncher in the amateurs, that is very true. I don't think Pryor could handle Hearns punching power, but I don't think Hearns could handle Pryor's either. It would be a great fight though, but Tommy would probably KO him.

Pryor takes him out in the 8th, he actually had the power to wobble Cotto unlike Margarito, not to mention he can match or exceed his chin and output while being miles faster.

It is possible for Cotto to win by boxing although, I really think he would end up getting into a war then start retreating somewhere in the second half of the fight. If Cotto starts retreating against Pryor (which I tend to find likely) he would end up more or less like the Margarito fight with him on his knees. Cotto hits hard but he really does not have 1 punch knockout power, Pryor really does not have huge knockout power either but he seemed to be made of sterner stuff then Cotto.

If it was after Pryor really started coking up, Cotto would a have very good chance though~ (post Argeullo).
