    At what weight does Mayweather

have the best chance against Pac?

He has no chance of a win anyway imo, but if he were to fight him what weight is most advantageous to Mayweather:

@ 147 - Floyd runs the risk of being too slow for the smaller, more nimble Pacquiao, but may be more powerful although Pac carried his power up easily to ODLH

@ 140 - Floyd has more speed allowing him to keep up with the more nimble Pac but loses power/strength

    catchweight?

thought, which weight is his best bet?

Floyd Mayweather can fight and beat pacquiao at either weight. I would have him as a slight favorite at 140, and a big favorite at 147.

I think he will be fine at 147 but if the fight is to be made it will be at a catchweight.

Mr boat buyer KO's Pac 4 sho at 147, wins and likely KO's Pac at 140.

why the confidence in mr. boat buyer?

watch the first round of Hatton/Mayweather and the first round of Pacquiao/Hatton the difference in speed between the two fighters is massive, I just can't see how Floyd makes up that differential.

Floyd has skills. Hatton doesn't. Hatton always relied on his punch resistance to enable him to brawl with guys. Once he lost it, he became a sitting duck for anyone with a bit of power.
