The over hand right is just a problem of him carrying his left low and not bringing back his jab quick enough leaving himself open to this punch Mosley showed the ability to hit him with this punch at will in tehir fight especially after the 6th round. Mosley has much faster hands then Clottey Clottey i woul dimiagine has faster hands then Tony so it is what it is to me Tony was able to land because he throws so many punches Cotto did not know from what angle or direction those punches were coming from so it wasn't so much Tony's speed but his punch output and pressure that he put on Miguel that gave him trouble. Once Tony figured out he coul dland the upper cut the fight shifted dramatically. I do not see Clottey as haivng the speed of Moslety or putting the pressure or punch out put like Tony. What that means to me is that Cotto can rack up on points early if he plays his game right and dont be surprised to see Cotto start out fighting like he did against Tony but the fight shifting later on and then him pressuring Clottey....Lefty
I think Cotto would be making a huge mistake if he tries to pressure Clottey.

I don't know about a huge mistake, but he won't be helping himself. It's better to keep your ground and let Clottey come to you. He should be nice and calm early int he fight and try to out point CLottey. Then I think he should turn the heat up after 8 if all is well.

Cotto needs to be careful with Clottey's uppercut, but as Ive said before...he hasn't hurt or taken anyone out in quite sometime. Is Cotto really already that flawed that he'd get hurt from Clottey's uppercuts after getting hit with faster punchers with the same punch in Mosley and Zab?
what.......zab rocked cotto with an uppercut, he had to low blow.......margayrito changed the fight in the 7th and 10th with uppercuts....

lucky for cotto, clottey is a gasser too.

            cotto better stick to potshotting.
Pully those stamina issues were mainly at 140 thus the reason why he went to 147....Clottey is a gasser yes sir and I see Cotto riding his bike and potshotting the firts few rounds but if the ideal holds true and CLottey gasses and I mean this sincerely if Cotto is able to touch that body big IF but not really so big since Zab was touching that body pretty easy I see Clottey gassing and Cotto being the fresher guy much like what happened in the fight between him and Shane except this time the opposite Cotto will be the one pushing up on a tired Clottey. Mark my words he will have to be physical to win this bout.....Lefty

They can but the trick is to get into position to throw those shots, throw them from too far out and Cotto will counter them all night.

                Exactly.

Cotto hasnot been drop by uppercuts. And he fought guys with way more speed and way more power than Clottey.

People will be in shock at how easy Cotto wins this.

The real question should be, Can Clottey take Cottos viscious left Hook to the body repeatily? because Cotto will land that punch almost at will!!!!!!!!

i respect your opinion, but imho all of cotto's late stoppages were due to his bodywork in the early rounds, cotto does not come on strong in the late rounds, he fades.

respect you too sir that is why I replie to your posts and not some one elses....I agree Cotto has had stamina issues to me tha only time I saw him fading was at 140 at 147 he seems much stronger and has stamina longer into fights. With the exception of the Margarito fight where he was on his bicycle all night and was taking etreme punishment all fight.....Lefty

Clottey's uppercut and lead right hands are his best weapons against Cotto.

I think Cotto wins though based on being more active.
