Sources close to situation have confirmed promoter Gary Shaw has made a verbal offer to Jose Nunez manager of two-division world champion Joan Guzman (29-0, 17 KOs) to fight WBO junior welterweight champion Timothy Bradley (24-0, 11 KOs) on Saturday August 1st. Nunez has accepted the offer on behalf of Guzman. SHOWTIME Championship Boxing is the likely to broadcast the event. No venue for the fight has been named as of yet.

wooow what a big fight.

big props to bradley for taking such a dangerous fighter on like this. guzman is extremely underrated imo - quick, sharp, defensively cute, good mover and throws excellent combinations.

bradley could have gone for an easier fight i think campbell at 140 is an easier fight than this fight.
