    Cotto and the Pacquiao Distraction

I have noticed Cotto make a lot of statements as of late regarding his wishes to join the Manny Manhunt. What has me concerned is whether or not he is keeping focus on Clottey. It feels to me like he is looking past Clottey. This scares me a bit because Clottey is going to be ready and willing to make a huge statement and Cotto will need to bring his a game to beat him.

Looking past Clottey could be a huge mistake. What are your thoughts?

Don't come into my threads and post gibberish. I'm seeking posts that actually contain a resemblance of thought.

You should read Cotto's comments....the ones reported by this site a few hours ago.

When asked about Pac all he says is that he knows the possibility is there, but he's focusing on Clottey.

Most of the Cotto/Pac stuff going around is from Arum and Pac's people, Cotto has hardly said a word himself.

OK that is re-assuring for sure. He will have to be on his A game to get past Clottey. It is going to be a tough long night in my eyes. Both of them will be earning their paychecks.

Absolutely. It's a great fight, a 50/50 type fight. Whoever wins will have earned it no doubt.

Look at how beaten Cotto was at the end of that fight he looked like a lost puppy dog ,once you get knocked out like that ,you are never quite the same as a fighter,Cotto is still good but he is not on the elite level anymore,Mosley Mayweather would both beat him soundly in fact i think Clottey will beat him.

I expect Cotto to be in great shape against Clottey.

Clottey will be a very tough fight for him though.

Clottey winning would not surprise me.

My thoughts are very much like yours. Think about how ray leonard probably thought hed just walk all over terry norris, you cant say leonard probably didint have even bigger plans after he came back for that one. Im not saying cotto is an ass like leonard was, but i am saying that *gasp* cotto should do a mayweather and just say "Im here to talk about clottey not pac". Thats probably one of the only mayweather examples ill ever say cotto should follow. You motivate a guy when you overlook him.

If Cotto is his best, he will solve Clottey's defense and thread the needle. It will not be easy for him, but I think he will time Clottey very well and then discourage him.
