I've heard Forrest has always had an unwritten no southpaw clause with his promoter from boxing writers (I think it was either Steve Kim, Doug Fischer, or Dan Rafael). The way crybaby was able to knockdown Marinez' jab and counter with his own told me that Forrest had a chance. Look at the people Forrest has lost to, he has a problem with awkward, combine that with the speed and the no rematch clause and you get why he didn't want it.
A good jab and pressure can work against Martinez, he's gets square sometimes which opens up more avenues for the jab but even so, it's a bad matchup for Forrest.
