Forrest is way past it has been a belt holder in a dead division. I guess the money offered to fight Martinez wasn't worth it and holding a belt is not all it is cracked up to be. Martinez beat Cintron was an ugly boring fight. he is an ex soccer player and in my thoughts he shoudl have remained running around in knee high stockings kicking a checkered ball around. he is putred to watch in the ring and if I need an ambien I can always watch a replay of the Cintron martinez fight.....Lefty

1. Forrest doesn't like southpaws.

2. A speedy, awkward southpaw is horrible for an aging fighter like Forrest to fight and he knows it.

I've heard Forrest has always had an unwritten no southpaw clause with his promoter from boxing writers (I think it was either Steve Kim, Doug Fischer, or Dan Rafael). The way crybaby was able to knockdown Marinez' jab and counter with his own told me that Forrest had a chance. Look at the people Forrest has lost to, he has a problem with awkward, combine that with the speed and the no rematch clause and you get why he didn't want it.

Haha, that's true. Why would anyone want Forrest with a belt? He had the title for more than a couple years and has done absolutely nothing with it except cherry pick. The best fighter he's faced is Sergio Mora in that time. Sergio was gonna fight Santos when he didn't have to. Even if you don't like dudes style, you know he's gonna try to fight top opp.

I'm a fan of Rafa Marquez and Angulo but I other than that I think I'm gonna make a point to root for all of Gary Shaw's fighters to lose. He's hiding Darchinyan from Donaire. He's hiding Chad from a Glen rematch. And Forrest was dead weight at 154 that just protected that belt and not fight any real challengers.
