Mike Tyson's reign as HW Champion while with Rooney/Cayton was an active one

I had to use BR for the dates because I don't remember them but this is part of the reason he was so well known.


Besides how active he was on route to the HW title, here is his title reign:

Berbick: WBC HW Title...November 22, 1986

James Smith: Titles WBC/WBA....March 7, 1987

Pinky Thomas: Titles WBC/WBA...May 30, 1987

Tony Tucker: Titles WBC/WBA/IBF...August 1, 1987

Tyrell Biggs: ...........October 16, 1987

Larry Holmes: ............January 22, 1988

Tony Tubbs: ..............March 21, 1988

Michael Spinks: .......... June 27, 1988


After that, Tyson left Rooney and Catyon...The Catskill Team was no more and Cus's want for Mike to stay an active Champion was over...Iron Mike Tyson was over.

At the time Mike left Rooney/Cayton, I also heard that Rooney/Cayton had already had plans in place for Mike to do a World Tour with his last fight being (I think back here in the States) against Evander. But the objective was to keep him active and well trained (under Rooney).
