Well if they go to 126 that gives Gamboa some big names to gun for, it also may force Juan Ma to 126 which would be a pretty strong division with Marquez, Vazquez, John, Gamboa and Juan Ma. That is just the top guys there is some solid opposition types at 126 like a Rocky Jaurez (I know some people do not like that he gets all the chances but really he is a solid opponent, and for the most part he has earned them).

Going up to 126lbs is probably a good move for Izzy at this point in his career but I don't think its a good idea for Rafael. Rafael was just filling into 122lbs and I believe is more of a natural 122lbs guy.

If Juan Manuel "Juanma" Lopez wants a Israel Vazquez fight it will have to be at 126 pounds.

This was revealed yesterday during an interview with the Mexican by Primera Hora, while that is waiting for the doctor gives the green light to return to the gym to train.

"I am very interested in a fight with Juan Manuel Lopez, but this would be in the featherweight (126 pounds)," Vazquez said by telephone from Los Angeles.

"I have too much time away from boxing and is healthy for my body to rise to 126," he continued.

The Mexican has been out of action since March 2008 when he defeated his compatriot Rafael Marquez. Even during the fight he suffered a tear in the retina of an eye.

"Without doubt that Lopez would be a war and I would have liked to be given before, but for various reason I have to move to 126. So you have to have a little patience, "Says the Aztec.

Also, all indications are that Vazquez will fight Márquez in a 4th combat at the end of the year.

"The possibility of a fourth fight with Marquez is near. There is interest, but this would be in the 126 lbs. Rafael has a sale this Saturday and if we are looking for either November or December, "he shared.

Men what the ****? they wont fight Juanma at 122? At 122, is where the fights matter at 126, Vazuqez and Juanma wil have to win some fighst and a belt to make the fight really interesting!!!!!!!!!!!

Chill out bro. Maybe the guy really can't make 122. After all, he's been out of action for over a year. Now that could hurt him at the negotiating table without bringing the Ring belt to the table I'll admit, but you need to pay attention to the press release. He says he's disappointed about it and he says that he's still interested in fighting Juan Ma at 126. So that right there tells you Izzy aint running scared. If this fight comes off though I'll have to favor Lopez. Lopez is a beast and I'm a fan, but you Rican cats make the same kind of biased posts about him that causes Cotto to get hated on in these forums.
