    Before Floyd retires again!!!!!

    Answer these questions.

    1. Who does Floyd have to fight before he hangs them up completely?

    2. What if Floyd just fights Marquez and Pac then retires, will that be good enough?

    3. If Floyd doesnt fight SSM, Cotto, Clottey, Berto, or Williams how would you feel?

What fights have to be made now that Floyd is back?

Well, I was ok with his career as it was so extra wins could only help. I hope he fights more then just 2 times in his comeback though, because I do like watching him fight against all different types of fighters.

I think it would be status quo if he just fought JMM and Pac some would really hate him for doing that and some would be cool with it (I doubt the % would even really change that much between hater and fan).

If Floyd beats the beats the #2 ranked pound for pound fighter (on many lists) in Marquez, then beats the new #1 pound for pound, highly respect and liked, Manny Pacquiao- he'd be #1 p4p again.

If that's all he wants, he doesn't need to fight anyone else.

Cliff Rold says it best on this site's pound for pound rankings, "There will be some wondering what Mayweather is doing back in the ratings before he’s even had a fight. The answer is simple: he’s Floyd Mayweather and he signed a contract. That makes him active enough and given the propensity of fighters to take long layoffs at the star level these days as well as what is already known of Mayweather, it’s enough to assume he’s still at least almost as good as he was before his vacation (c’mon, was anyone ****** enough to think he was really ‘retired?’). It’s just not enough to move him higher given what Pacquiao and Marquez have been up to. There has been some early criticism of his decision to take on the naturally smaller Marquez but why? Since when is the former Lightweight champ taking on the current Lightweight champ a bad thing? While Mayweather against Shane Mosley at Welterweight would be easier to anticipate, Marquez will be motivated and there to win. Mayweather could have his hands full. If he does not, it will be because he hasn’t lost the fastball which guided him to greatness over Diego Corrales, Jose Luis Castillo and Oscar De La Hoya over the years and the drumbeat to the best pound-for-pound showdown in a generation can begin."

        1. Fight Marquez, Pacquiao, Cotto, and Mosley.

        2. No

        3. Win or lose (mostly win) he'd be the man.

If he beats Marquez, Pacquiao, Cotto, and Mosley before either of them lose again he goes down in the top 15 ATG. If he adds Williams or whoever else he'd possibly be an underdog against he's top 10.

JMM, Pac, and Cotto before he reaches the equal of the Fab 4.

Mayweather feels that he is entitled to greatness because he went from 126 all the way to 154.

So fighting and beating Marquez and Pacquiao would definitely help his legacy But without fighting both Cotto AND Mosley he can never live up to the greatness he portrays for himself. You cant call yourself a great for winning a split decision in 1 fight at 154 or call yourself a great welterweight when you've essentially fought at welterweight for 5 years but out of the 5 years you fought at welterweight only have 1 single fight against a genuine welterweight in Baldomir.

              Answer these questions.

              1. Who does Floyd have to fight before he hangs them up completely? really, just fight the best.

              2. What if Floyd just fights Marquez and Pac then retires, will that be good enough? fine with me. in my eyes, pac is #1 p4p and JMM is #2 p4p. beating the 2nd and then the first, i can't *****, moan or groan. prolly even hop on the band wagon.

              3. If Floyd doesnt fight SSM, Cotto, Clottey, Berto, or Williams how would you feel? i'd like it if he fought cotto out of all of those. if he fights ssm and beats him, he won't get credit due to his age. cotto is the only one of those who he can get full credit for. berto/clottey/ssm isn't enough ppv draw power to fight floyd. cotto (after pac) is the most realistic choice and who i think he should fight, but if he fights JMM, PAc and retires, i'm 100% satisfied.
