At ruining Boxing, what other Boxer out there would be the Main topic on ESPN/Sportscenter, ESPN went as far as protoming the interview all day on its channel, and milked it and broke it into parts for people could stay and wait for the interview throughout the whole sportscenter. He brings attention to the sport, whether you like it or not.

Another thing is that he ruins boxing by being a ****** trash image on ESPN. This is why ESPN stopped covering boxing in the mainstream, because it can become a circus act. Would you ever see Kobe Bryant or Tiger Woods criticizing an interviewer? He should've been grateful for the opportunity to promote his fight on ESPN, instead of using that time for a sport like baseball or basketball, which the average sports fan is looking for.

I don't understand what there is to like about Floyd anymore. Is it that he openly admits he's stealing the fans' (meaning YOU) money?

That interview today was as spontaneous as a pro wrestling bit. Floyd was building up the PPV and Kenny was getting some highlight reel time. People that fall for this hype are just marks for the promotion.

And then turning the channel off once they see how much of a circus act he is. Bait and switch.

Wouldn't you agree that he would do a lot better for the sport if he actually fought the best fighters? He didn't fight Margarito regardless of what SHANE MOSLEY did to him, by the way Mayweather won't fight Mosley, or Pacquiao.

Tyson was entertaining tho' with all his antics...u may not like it, but majority of people that likes to be entertained did.....and yes I agree floyd should have fought the necessary fighters at the time...but his chase of the green (money & wbc) wouldn't be denied...he always went for the green belt tho' n I believe that if margarito, cotto, or mosely had the wbc belt at the time...then floyd would've fought them..

the only way mayweather could truely ruin the sport is if he were to commit a crime that would shine negative attention to the sport. Having a bad fight, or having a contraversial opponent or whatever doesnt ruin anything. The sport carries on, if you think hes ruining the sport, you yourself give mayweather the respect of actually being the face of it. I mean you have to look past that. Take for instance, wladimir klitscsko that guy to me is boring as hell, he has alot of fans on this board, however i rarely talk about him because if i dont like someone, i dont spend my damn time talking about them when there are more worthwhile topics to discuss.

Again, if you think hes somehow ruining the sport, you give him the respect of him being the face of it, no one man is bigger than the sport, but if you give him this kind of credit, you obviously think he is. Leave the topic of floyd mayweather alone and at somepoint you will realize your overzealous ranting accomplishes nothing and solves nothing and in the end, mayweather will still be a polarizing and popular figure in the sport, if he wasnt, 80 percent of the board wouldnt be filled with his threads, with you adding to that heap.

Tyson was convicted of **** and went to jail. He was often very misogynistic, rude and aggressive in interviews. Tyson was feared, and people liked to watch him knock guys out, but he was also like a train wreck. It's not like he was some funny, happy go-lucky wise-cracking athlete with a mean streak. I don't know that his antics were 'entertaining' so much as people love a good gossip story- and he always gave us something to talk about.

Floyd makes people talk. If people are paying to watch him fight, he's doing something right. I don't know why anyone would think he's ruining the sport when he makes people watch and talk about something that is often a niche activity nowadays.
