That's exactly what Oscar De La Hoya- promoter extraordinaire- is trying to do here. Not only is he hyping up Mayweather-Marquez with his decelerations that Marquez beat Pacquiao, but he's hedging his bets. Should Floyd lose he can now say, "See? Marquez is the best in the world. He beat Floyd Mayweather just like he beat Pacquiao..." and pump up a third fight between his fighter and Manny Pacquiao.

It's not like Oscar, before his retirement, said, "You know what? Manny Pacquiao lost to Juan Manuel Marquez and I know Pacquiao will get me more money and accolades if I win, but I wanted to fight the best- and that would be the man who, I don't care what anyone says, beat Manny Pacquiao."

No. Back when Oscar was the one collecting the checks and compiling the end of his career, he decided to take on Manny because of his standing and fame.
