As far as Urango, I dont think he has to KO him, a convincing win would be enough for him to receive credit for the win.
Roy won the IBF MW title... Roy was green...

Gamboa just won an interim title.. he is still green...

his next fight will be for a title... and he will still be green..

I know that Urango was a belt holder at 140. I know he fought and lost to Hatton. So in my mind He is moving up to 147 to fight for Bertos ***lery but at a natural 140lb I think berto has to get a KO in this one and end it in decisive fashion or we might be talking about hype job Berto.....Lefty
i don't think he has to win by KO.
i would like to see berto stay more focused. and show more poise. no throwing caution into the wind and showboating. and please listen to your fckg corner. he looked good and did better than i thought he would against forbes but its going to be a whole different ball game against a mosley, cotto, margarito or williams imo!

I agree with you Reed you can have tremendous natural talent and win a belt at a young age and be green but at some point we have to see some progression. I think Berto impressed a lot of people in the Collazo fight by gutting that one out and taking the last round to win on the cards. When he fought Forbes he didn't impress me too much but I think it was a learning experience for him. Urango is a tough customer and in my mind I think Berto has to really show the ability to keep his stamina in the later rounds. Work on his movement and learn to block some shots rather then just move out of the way. He was going to the body on Collazo in their fight and it paid off for him but he stopped at some points and that hurt him. He let Collazo back in the fight. To beat some of the top tier guys like Mosley, Cotto, Clottey you have to be able to adjust and sustain your attack. i think the key in beating some one with a high out put of punches you need to attack the body....Lefty

Right... I also think Forbes and Collazo are damn good tests though

Since Urango has only lost once and never been stopped, I would say it'd be a good win for Berto if he gets a stoppage. I really want to see more of him.

I think Forbes was a test but at the same time he let Forbes counter him. I am not sure which punch it was that Forbes was able to counter often but I remember the announcers saying it and then Berto stopped throwing it. I am not sure if Forbes was able to hit Berto but I remeber that Collazo hurt him in the 1st or 2nd round.. it was a straight left that Collazo hurt him with. To me niether Forbes or Collazo is a good puncher so if he was hurt by eithe of these guys then he has a suspect chin. I think he has to work on his D and up his stamina to be a factor at the higher levels. right now Mosley cleans his clock Cotto breaks him down to the body and Clottey wears his ear muff until berto tires and gets frustrated then KO's him.....Lefty

I used to rate Chinto on the way up, but I think he's found his ceiling, and that's someway short of championship level. He's a title holder only, not a real world champion.

Other than a big paycheck I can't think of one reason why Urango would want this fight. It is clearly a mismatch which he is virtually destined to lose and probably by knockout. Urango is a great fighter, but the weight divisions are there for a reason.
