Did Marquez come out of his fights with Pac looking like the better fighter

I remember after watching both fights i was thinking about how great Marquez was , even though he didnt get the decision. His footwork , his sharp combos , the way he timed Mannys Lunges and countered him. Obviously Pac knocked him down and hurt him and landed alot of blows but Marquez came out of the fights looking alot more skilled and with the supererior boxing brain. Pacman looked explosive but he only got the draw in the 1st fight because of the knockdowns. The 2nd fight he did better but to me Marquez shows hes worked out Pacs Style. Marquez came out of both fights looking like the better man IMO. What do you think?

He was, and still is, the better fighter...he's just too hittable, too prone to square up and trade. Most think he did win the second fight, and if he'd suffered one fewer KD's in the first fight, he'd have won that one, too. Anybod that can come back to a draw after such a mess of a first round...there's no doubt about who's the better boxer.

obviously in those 2 fights jmm was the smarter boxer; that said:

      - 1st fight: judge admitted to scoring error robbing pac of the win
      - 2nd fight: the knockdown secured pac the W in a close fight

Both times he proved he was the better boxer, but not the better man. Pac proved he was more powerful but not the better man. We need a ****in 3rd fight, but it likely won't happen now.

If Marquez doesn't beat Mayweather, Pacman will never, EVER get into the ring against Marquez again. And even if Marquez does beat Mayweather, I still think it's highly unlikely Manny would accept another Marquez matchup. Too much risk, and he's already said he never wants to fight JMM again.

Marquez is a very skilled boxer with a good chin. Evidence by his wins over Casamayor and most recently over Juan Diaz. But he also had problems with a past prime Barrera and not being able to finish off a tough Rocky Juarez. To say he is better than Pac after not being able to beat him twice is ludicrous. Yes they were close bouts, the first one for sure, but Juan dug himself a hole by getting knocked down 3 times in one round. Many forget how close that fight was to being stopped right there. So in my opinion Marquez was lucky to get a draw. The second fight was obviously not as close as the first. Jerry Roth's score of 115-112 in favor of Juan was way off. (the other judges scores were: Duane Ford 115-112 in favor of Pac, Tom Miller 114-113 for Pac). Watch the fight again and see where exactly Marquez showed his superiority to Manny. He couldn't maintain his aggression without Pac firing right back at him to thwart any momentum. Marquez applied the safe distance fight plan of Barrera who also lost a decision to Manny 5 months prior.
