Strength & Conditioning Coaches for boxing = Overrated
I think fighters hire these coaches so training camp doesn't become monotonous. Don't get me wrong, there are definitely benefits in doing what they do, but, when that bell rings, the venue is rockin, how much of this strength & conditioning really factor in a fight?
What's wrong with Rocky Balboa chasing the chicken and doin' one-armed push-ups. At the end of the day, it's who has the better timing, better sense of distance, and that never say die attitude that wins fights!
You can hire Ariza, Shilstone and Schwarzenegger all at the same time, but if yo @ss can't fight, yo ass can't fight!Comment
