Just like I think it's shady for someone like Floyd to make someone come up in weight with no concessions I think it is equally shady to get established champions to turn into concentration camp members. That's not what Henry Armstrong did. He beat champions at their best weight unlike what Floyd is doing with Marquez and what Pacquiao did with DLH and now attempting to do with Cotto and Mosley. This is why Shane and Miguel just need to forget about Manny and fight each other. And Clottey is a live underdog against Cotto. Roach makes some sense there.

i agree with freddie roach on this one clottey will beat him. clottey is no joke i think he can hang with pac. people are looking past him but he has everything to gain with this fight. i think if he wins this a fight it will put him in the pacman sweepstakes. there both on top rank so the fight should be easy to make

Cotto isn't looking past Clottey. The only reason people are talking ahead is because prospective fights like Cotto vs. Pacquaio, or Cotto vs. Mayweather, or Cotto vs. Mosley II are exciting. No one is in the wrong for thinking about the potential there.

That makes absolutely no difference. If fans and "experts" are overlooking Clottey (which they're obviously not, because 100% of the people are saying that Clottey is being overlooked....which means everybody is thinking about him), it will have no effect on the fight. Cotto is a machine. He is focused.

Seeing as how Clottey is a bit of a counter-puncher, it should be good practice for a potential match against either Pac or May; or both.
