    Great small moments in fights...

I was watching Castillo vs Chico 1 again last night and there was one moment which I found really quite poignant...

Just before the start of the....8th (?) round, Chico says to Goosen, "he can't fight" about JLC.

We all know that Corrales knows that JLC can fight. He was probably just saying it to convince himself that he was the better man.

And Goosen says to him, "yes he can", basically destroying the psychological angle that Chico was working on. But I just loved it. I don't think it was strictly Goosen keeping Chico from getting complacent, I think he was just genuinely giving his props to JLC. And you could knew that Corrales knew he was right.

Just a ****ing great small moment in an epic fight. That fight is full of them.

Any other small moments in fights that you dig big time?

Round one in Morales/Pacquiao I where Pacman backs Erik up on the ropes and Erik replies straight away and pushes him all the way to the other side of the ring

Also in that same round when Pac hurts Morales' body and he's bending over while trading

        That gave me a chuckle.

I loved the Naz vs Kelly fight. They'd trashed each other before the fight so much. Then they got in the ring and started trading knockdowns.

The moment where Naz knocked Kelly down (after being down himself), then winked to him and Kelly nodded and winked back as if to say "you got me" was classic.

I think trainers soundbites generally suck in the corner, which is why semi-interesting ones like the ones above sort of stick in your memory. It's nearly always generic "go the body", "use your jab" advice.

Nazeem Richardons is world class at it, though. Decent lines and great delivery.

              Oh yeah, man.

And then Lampley says "and Morales says let's fight!" after Erik knocks his fists against his own hips. Not sure how hurt Pac was in that moment though, getting stuck in the ropes made it look a little worse than it was.

another famous moment was atlas in moorer-holyfield 1.

teddy atlas was ridiculous in the moorer fight.

                didn't like it.

a good atlas moment was in foreman-moorer.

he told moorer that foreman is trying to lull him and catch him with a right hand sneakily.

                    very prophetic.
