I like Mayweather, but I am going to lose the respect I have for him...

I have pretty much lost my respect for him.

He has great skills but he isn't willing to show them against the best fighters AT 147.

Marquez is a great fighter but shouldn't be fighting above junior welterweight. He is a natural featherweight.

c'mon now u gotta respect floyd's con artist abilities... if there is no catchweight then floyd just pulled one of the greatest bait-n-switch jobs in all of history.

Hard to believe that he couldn't effectively lose 10-15 pounds for this fight.
140 lbs was abit low..... no way Floyd can make that anymore since Marquez was moving up to 140 lb to fight Pacman and Floyd is a 147 lb fighter I felt the 143/144 lb catchweight was perfect...

I had mad respect for Floyd back when he was at the lower divisions, but my respect for him has been diminishing slowly after the Gatti fight, and if this **** is ture I don't think i will be able to support Floyd again.
Co-Sign, he's losing what little respect he had for doing that ****. He knows that Marquez would ok the weight because of how bad he wants a 3rd fight with pac and if he wins(which i heavily doubt now-gave him a slight chance at 143) he has leverage in negotiations with pac.....

I agree, but also note that if Gayweather wanted to fight cats at 147, then he should be fighting REAL WELTERWEIGHTS!!!!!!!!!!! Not some blown up superfeather.....

I thought it was a ***** move a la De La Hoya vs pacquiao, and I gave JMM a 20 percent chance of winning just as I gave Pacquiao a 30 percent chance of winning because Oscar is no Floyd. However, now that it is at 147 I don"t give Marquez a 5 percent chance. There is a big difference. This fight is the equivalent of Oscar staying at his natural 154 lb division to fight Manny.
