What you guys have to realize too is Floyd is going to continue to fight and a Cotto, pacquiao, and Mosley fight are all looming in the Horizon. It wouldn't be smart for Floyd to drop down then climb back up in weight in preparation say with a fight with Cotto who's a solid WW.

He states very clearly in the article that he's not interested in fighting Mosley.

Regarding the weight, it wouldn't even be a factor. Fights are so far apart (usually around 6 months) that dropping down and coming back up a few pounds would mean nothing and have no effect on his body.

This is a joke to be honest. Surely the weight was stipulated in the original signed contract? Mayweather/Ellerbe are just something else. Lure him in with 144 then just change it to 147 a few weeks after Marquez knows it is happening.

Real boxing fans know what Mayweather is doing - A great Superfeatherweight he was but past 135 lets be honest, the guy hasn't faced any real challange and him and his team just contradict themselves at any available oppertunity. Especially when talking about losses on a fighters record and PPV numbers.

IMO, here are the negatives I see about this fight being at 147:

PBF - desperate to secure a win to setup a future mega fight with Pac

JMM - desperate for a big payday he is whoring himself for one-sided humiliation (god I hope he proves me wrong I'd be cheering for him), desperate to get another shot at Pac that he feels the need to beat the former #1 p4p king to be noticed.
