    Do You Agree With This?

I remember back in the day when Max was on FNF and he said someone told him but I forgot who it was. It was someone legendary like a fighter but I think it was a sports writer or trainer. Anyways, he said the guy told him that the better fighter will always win a rematch. He said the guy told him that sometimes you can sneak up on guys and catch them sleeping, they could be out of shape, didnt take you seriously, and so on but in the rematch both guys will fight serious and to there best ability and that will tell you who is the better fighter. He said that ever since the guy told him that, he's pretty much beleived in it and its usually right. I think he said this before the Floyd-Castillo rematch and he said thats why he's picking Floyd.

Say what you want about Floyd but he had a tough fight with a huge monster that he didnt expect and instead of running, he immideatly gave him a rematch. Half the guys people brag on never do that. If someone gives them a tough fight they never want to fight them again. Another thing I remember was that the rematch was very soon like only 2 and a half months after the 1st fight and right before it was supposed to happened, Castillo came down with a supposed injury and they had to postpone it. I remember Max saying that he's not going to say anything but if this had happened to Floyd then everyone would say that he's ducking Castillo. Floyd couldve easily still walked away after that and said that he's not going to wait or that he's moving on but he actually waited for Castillo to get helathy and fought him in his next fight. That would never happened nowdays. If Mosley got hurt right before there rematch, Cotto would move on and never fight Mosley again. Arum would say that he had his chance and so on.

Anyways, let me get back to topic. The fight happened and Floyd cleary won. Its not disputed at all and I thought he made JLC look like a fool in that fight. I swear if it wasnt for him holding & punching, he wouldnt have landed one shot the whole fight and Im dead serious. I didnt see him land one punch that fight where he didnt have to hold Floyd with one arm and swing with the other. No ref would let you get away with that nowdays. Everytime he would get close, Floyd would pop that jab and make his head bounce back and then Floyd would spin off. If JLC was so great and had the kryptonite then why couldnt he do better then that? He was seriously outclassed if you judged it the real way and didnt count any of that holding & hitting stuff. More to the topic, I cant think of a time in recent memory where the best guy didnt win the rematch. Williams KO Quintana, Winky beat Mosley, Ali-Frazier, and so on. Now there are cases like Tarver knocking out RJ and you could say RJ is clearly better but at that time he clearly was shot and wasnt better. There are other cases like Mosley-Forrest where you could say that Mosley is still a better fighter but he obviously isnt a better fighter in this matchup. So do you guys agree with this? Does the better fighter always win the rematch?

I think he said mayweather would make 15 million on a ppv of 500k.

          No that's not it.

He asked if the better guy always wins the rematch but he took a while and took some wrong turns here and there to get there.

He started out in Oakland and ended up in Santa Monica but then he ended up in San Francisco so he didn't do too bad this time.

No. The Marquez brothers are both better technical fighters than Vazquez and Pacquiao but they both lost their rematches, Patterson was a better technical fighter than Liston but he got blown out.....twice. The better fighter doesn't always win the rematch.

                Got any excuses tonight Roy?
eh mon, pass the spliff, Gotta any excuses tonight, glenn, mon (Tarver usingJamaican accent saying it to Johnson)

Tarver and Audley Harrison are truly heroes of the common man and very underrated boxers.

To DLT credit, he did not mention technical this time.
