    Lamon Brewster vs TheManchine

Tis true, I just boxrec’d Lamon Brewster and found out that he’s scheduled to fight Finnish boxer Juho Haapoja 9-2-1, 7 KO. Haapoja (I don’t even know where to begin to pronounce it) is a virtual unknown to the heavyweight scene but is being given a huge opportunity to make a name for himself against a top twenty heavyweight in Lamon Brewster. For Brewster, this is probably a “step down” in competition from his last opponent but, it’s understandable that the promoters would try to spotlight a Finnish boxer seeing that it’s not too often that they (Finland) get a heavyweight championship fight (Valuev-Chagaev)….

I'd bet on this "TheManchine" fellow.

To be honest "Terrible" Juho Haapoja has no business being in the ring with Lamon Brewster.

Yes his nickname is truly "Terrible" and it fits him too, not that he is terrifying in the least, just quite terrible.

Povetkin's next fight is against Wlad Klitschko (assuming that he wins). Brew should go after Rogan seeing that Martin's the hot prospect in the division right now..

You've seen this guy in action? And the only reason he's getting a shot at Brewster is because he's Finnish; and as I stated earlier, it's understandable..

            Interview (translated):

"This is the chance of my life. I'm going to the fight in good mood. Winning won't be easy but that's what we are going to fight for.

Brewster is one of the hardest hitting boxers in the world. At the beginning I must stay very sharp and keep my hands high. My intention is to up the pace of the fight by the middle rounds and pressure Brewster really hard. Everyone has their weaknesses as does Brewster and I believe that he can be beaten.

If I wasn't in good shape I wouldn't have taken the fight. I participated in a London training camp at the end of April where I was able to spar with John McDermott. Now I spar with tough Denis Bakhtov whose style resembles Brewster's."

I'm not sure if he will ever get past the first few rounds...

TheManchine will be rooting for the American to defeat the Finn.

Seems like he doesn't like the Finnish guy.

It would be great for Finnish boxing if Haapoja managed to win. Unfortunately I'm a realist and see that this is little more than a mismatch.
