    True.

When Hoffmann was given a bad beating by Timor Ibragimov in 2007, he was actually knocked down twice late in the fight. Since it was on a Universum card with Hoffmann being a Universum fighter then and Ibragimov being his own manager, the ref didn't count them as knockdowns.

Hoffmann is a shot fighter. Even old Francois Botha defeated him last week.

I have some doubts about Dimitrenko, but he does appear to have been improving.

yes Dimitrenko dropped Hoffman. may be his chin didnt changed since 2000 but his body - definetly changed. not everybody can take a hard liver punch, especially Dimitrenko has decent power. once Dimitrenko face decent fighters such as: Chambers, Arreola then I could say he is ok. If Chambers could weight 200 max 205, he could have been another Chris Byrd. just need some foot/body work practice, he got fast punches. but at 227 I dont see him winning big fights

The fact that Dimitrenk knocked him out is proof he continues to improve. Hoffmanns last fight, against Botha, desicion loss. Means Dimitrnkos power is improving. Hoffmann has never been a really good fighter but he has always had a good chin and still does, and the only reason Hoffmann was 22 and 0 when he fought Vitali was because he hadnt fought any good fighters yet, when he stepped up on competition he lost to desicions.
ye but by the time he fought dimitrenko he lost 2 or 3 fights since loosing to Vitali and wasnt really active, I agree Sasha is improving but comparing Vitalis win and Sashas win over Hoffman is somewhat pointless because styles make fights.

Personally, I believe Chambers will outbox the Ukranian. But it should be a good fight, hopefully somebody will pick it up in the US. Chambers is too good to be ignored. If he wins this one, he should call out Alex Povetkin for a rematch.

It will definitely be a good, competitive fight.

Afterwards, we'll know whether Dimitrenko is for real or not.

Why call out Povetkin for a rematch when he would be ranked #1 by the WBO and a position for a title shot against Wlad? Then again a rematch wouldn't be bad.

i'v said this many times, Chambers simply doesn't have the frame to be carrying around 230lbs, i don't care what he's listed as i'd be shocked if he was 5'11

                  he'd be a small cruiserweight

Chambers said he will be around 212lbs for this fight. Weight isn't everything, Holyfield was weighing 205-220lbs for most of his career.

He's a small heavyweight BUT he's ranked in the top 10 and beat Derric Rossy, Dominick Guinn, Calvin Brock, and Samuel Peter, he's doing something right.

i'm not saying he isn't talented, he is and that's what's keeping him competitive but he'll never get to the top because of his size and lack of ko power

also i'm not saying you have to be 6'7 and 250 like Dimitrenko to compete as a heavy but look at holyfield & look at chambers. Holyfield was in great shape and chambers is borderline fat. he doesn't have the frame (keyword, frame=natural size) to be a heavy. His body can't handle that kinda weight

look at other guys his size
Ibragimov, Chagaev (can get a little chubby) but while there in the 220 - 230 range they're solid, certianly by comparison
